Fabrique’s mission to eliminate barriers between designer and consumer continues in their Fall 2026 lineup. Rather than asking designers to immerse themselves in the brand identity, Fabrique spotlights the designer, including Italian handbag creator Giorgia Scarpa. Scarpa, who has previously worked with Saint Laurent, Gucci, and Dior, crafted a new version of the classic Boston handbag for Fabrique. Similar to Scarpa’s previous designs, the Marais Soft Boston Leather Bag bridges a familiar silhouette with contemporary needs, bringing modernity to established handbags. 

A lightweight construction fits everyday needs, even in a compact design. Along with smooth seams and rich brown colors, interior compartments and a rear zippered pocket ensure organization and maximize capability. These design choices find the balance between structure and relaxation, maintaining the bag’s shape despite the slouched form. 

As contemporary styles have evolved to prefer flexible designs in handbags, Scarpa’s take on the Boston merges this attitude with the well-known shape. Instead of the classic two top-handles, Scarpa includes two shoulder straps, with one intended to hang down and shift with the wearer. Rotating gold hardware creates a natural movement, smoothly conforming to the user. 

Tactility becomes primary in the overall experience, as waxed European leather and vintage Spanish suede provide a delicate feel. These materials also allow the bag to blend and develop around how the consumer uses the bag. Fine patinas mature alongside the bag, and natural wear grows as decoration of the exterior.
