As shadow and light hold hands, Balenciaga’s Winter 2026 campaign illuminates to life. Chiaroscuro plays across silk and wool, while dramatic, face-framing collars and Cristóbal Balenciaga’s unconventional silhouettes are reimagined for the present, transforming an ordinary coat into an architectural marvel.
For Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Winter 2026 collection, entitled “Clair Obscur,” photographer Robin Galiegue captures models Dara Gueye, Liu Wen, and Anok Yai in the striking contrasts of light and shadow. Inspired by High Renaissance art and the maison’s historic codes, the collection unfolds in a range of garments and accessories that are sculptural, sleek, and dramatic.

Hooded jackets, peacoats, blousons, and dresses are invigorated with panache—boasting theatrical rounded shoulders, collars that shield up to the eyes, and daring cutouts. Garments are crafted from leather, shearling, wool, and paillette-embroidered satin silk, and are paired with gleaming B-buckled belts and minimal jewelry. The collection also highlights the Hourglass Avenue Bag—referencing one of the house’s defining codes—the Le 7 Bowling Bag, as well as the Bloom Pump and Midnight City Mule, which add a coquettish undertone.
Both collection and campaign balance history with innovation, with Piccioli creating flamboyant silhouettes that allow for freedom and movement. Balenciaga’s Winter 2026 collection is available in select boutiques and online.
