Ruby Aldridge for JED x Neiman Marcus

by Valerie Stepanova

Keep an eye out for Ruby Aldridge: the model is a star of the new JED campaign launching in select Neiman Marcus stores today. The collection is mainly comprised of JED’s signature Skinnyminirib sweaters, with the “Woodland Stripe” turtleneck — a style made up of non-repeating stripes in eleven colors of heathers, lurex and brights — as the highlight of this season.

Ruby was introduced to the JED team by one of their favorite photographers, Stan Boniecki, who also shot the campaign. “We have been lucky enough to shoot the collection on the inimitable Ruby Aldridge,” says brand founder Jed Krascella. “She’s one of our favorite muses who truly embodies the JED spirit with her character, talent, beauty, individualism, humor and personal style.”

The whole JED Fall/Winter 2019 is a cordial nod to nature, with cumulus whites, moody greys, deep navies and coniferous blue-greens in its color palette. Make believe you’re taking a walk in the woods: enchanting forests and gardens, the lushness of Rousseau and Giverny, the romance of Sleeping Beauty and Giselle. Sweatersmithing at its core, the eclectic brand seeks to present an alternative, younger iteration of the classic luxury category, infusing it with a sense of joy, a love of faraway places and cultures, and a personal graphic sensibility.
