In the “Burberry Festive Film”—part of the their 2015 Festive campaign—the luxury fashion brand pays tribute to BAFTA-winning British film Billy Elliot.
Apparently, time flies when you're jumping on beds; the inspiringly flamboyant film Billy Elliott turns 15 this year. Inspired by the protag's victorious transformation from coal miner to ballet champion, Burberry cast their film with no shortage of talent: Sir Elton John, Julie Walters, Romeo Beckham, James Bay, George Ezra, Michelle Dockery, James Corden, Naomi Campbell and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley each take turns vertically gamboling before a glittery gold background.
Look close: each celebrated Brit wears a Burberry Giant Iconic Metallic Scarf, in either Camel or Dark Red, with their initials lovingly embroidered.
Of note, Burberry's three-minute film secured ‘Cosmic Dancer’ by T Rex for the soundtrack. Of course, the track features prominently in Billy Elliott's opening sequence, but remains a great play in nearly every context.
And, speaking of celebs jumping up and down, here's a selection of Philippe Halsman celebrity portraits in gravity-defying .gif form.
