The famous Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend celebrates 30 years as the largest and most iconic all-girl music festival in the world as they welcome John Waters to their biggest event yet in 2020.
The Dinah is filled with musical performances, pool parties, DJ battles, nighttime soirees and much more. However, what sets the Dinah apart from your standard music festival is stand-up comedy which has been included each year. For their 30th anniversary, the Dinah presents icon John Waters, the man who has made “fringe the new normal” and has directed and written 16 movies including Hairspray and Pink Flamingos.
The Dinah has grown into a globally celebrated festival over the years and has become famous for picking the next big thing in music. Past performers include Lizzo, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and more. The festival aims to “provide a safe space for all womxn to express their true authentic selves, feel confident in their own skin, and connect with other people from around the world in a communal sense of love and empowerment.” This commitment to diversity has awarded founder and producer Mariah Hanson with a key to the city of Palm Springs, California.
