HWY 62 ART TOURS: 200 Artists Opening Their Studios To Showcase Artwork
The high desert has remained as popular as it was 40 years ago to getaway to, when your dad was planning a Joshua Tree trip with his buddies and forgot to pack the trail mix, as well as the good suede boston birkenstock’s. HWY 62 ART TOURS is becoming one of the fastest growing attractions taking place over 3 weekends in October, featuring 150 artists opening their studios to showcase artwork. Part of the fun derrives from its self-driven aspect, furtherly explained by Art Tours Director, Bill Green:
“The best thing about the Art Tours is that you never know what you’ll discover. With over 30 different categories of art, you might see a tile house followed by an abstract painter followed by a sculptor. You get to choose what you want based on your interest. There are so many different artists here with unique studio spaces that you can’t possibly see them all. It’s a big reason why we went to three weekends this year.”
This special desert art tour taking place under the stars will take place this month in October over the spand of 3 weeks. Weekend Oct. 5th & 6th, the 11th & 12th, and lastly the 18th & 19th.
