Formerly a member of the band [Kid Bloom](https://www.instagram.com/kidbloom/?hl=en), the Turkish, Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and composer has had an unwavering passion for writing music and performing since he was a youth. Now CEO to his own label titled Flesh Fury, he releases his latest EP titled _Pandemic Ballads_. The 7-track project was recorded mostly in his own home in the city of Angels, with many tracks utilizing unorthodox recording methods (such as placing amplifiers and drums in the bathroom) while playing the majority of the instruments himself. In over a month of recording and mixing, he fuses the genres of rock, funk, jazz and even cabaret. Speaking on the EP, Zach states, “All the songs came together very naturally. I structure the album the same way I structure a live performance. There are certain moments of tension and release, certain moments you can dance to, mixed and scattered throughout the overall work.” Photo Credit: Sarah Pardini ![Photo Credit: Sarah Pardini](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/62ee0bbe0c783a903ecc0ddb/6472d111de20b75437e1ca14_zachtaboriFLAUNT2.jpeg) Photo Credit: Sarah Pardini Obviously, the mood of the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to the mood of the record, yielding a DIY-approach playing his own instruments and “remote” collaborations with Tommy Mars, the keyboardist for Frank Zappa, Rachel Eckroth who plays piano for Rufus Wainwright, and Stewart Cole who plays trumpet in Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. _Pandemic Ballads_ are Zach’s own personal experiences, a project he hopes will inspire the masses to connect with each other. It’s 2020, so anything is possible!
