Shane Jordan is an activist, author, and entertainer working hard to bring change to the world and live his dream. Jordan is widely known for his efforts and contributions to the fight for a better world for everyone and has spent the better part of his life championing the rights of minorities in the country. He shares a deep passion for creating an environment where everyone feels free to express themselves.
Shane Jordan is one of the activists who served on Hillary Clinton’s finance team during her run for president in 2016 against Donald Trump. He is also recognized as a top author and a freelance writer for The Advocate, The Huffington Post, and others. Jordan also recently published his first book, Wear the Damn Mask, which he co-authored with the seasoned writer Rick Hendrix. Wear the Damn Mask was Jordan's appeal to Americans to put on their masks in the ravaging times of COVID-19 as a way to help fight the pandemic, relying on the popularity of Izzy the Frenchie to drive the point home in a fun, non-threatening manner.
"When I saw our world change so quickly at the dawn of the pandemic, it put into perspective my priorities and the attitudes of Americans in general. I saw a resistance to common sense when people began to fuss about wearing masks and started to revolt," says Jordan.
His message hit home, with the book entering the Nielsen BookScan humor charts at number two in the fall of 2020 with Gallery and Simon & Schuster. Wear the Damn Mask was also featured on numerous shows, including “The View” and “Doctors,” which helped spread the message. Jordan took a lot of encouragement from the book’s success, collaborating on another project with Rick Hendrix for Izzy the Frenchie. This is part of his mission to grow his writing career and see himself reach a wider audience while helping to bring change to the world.
Shane Jordan believes in everyone having the innate potential to become whoever they want to be in life. He challenges everyone aspiring for a better tomorrow to continue putting in the hard work and be persistent. Jordan trusts in success being a product of resilience above anything else. One must hold on to the path without letting small distractions knock them off course.
"Decide what you want your life to look like in five to ten years, then start small with attainable goals that will get you to where you want to be. Moreover, when someone gives you a no, do not stop! Know your worth and keep striving to get what you want," he says.
Jordan recalls his early days in the entertainment industry when he was young and openly gay and how he was often sidelined for being who he is. Though it was a challenging period, Jordan had to persevere by finding his tribe of like-minded people who support equality and love for everyone no matter who they are.
Shane Jordan can now boast of over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, with one of the largest industry networks. He has worked with Mariah Carey, Garth Brooks, Miley Cyrus, George Strait, and Kelly Clarkson, among many others.
Jordan is now focused on the crypto world in his quest to improve the world, where he is helping launch a crypto coin, Petcoin, that helps rescues and shelters get a grip on the increasing problems they face in the care of animals.
