Canadian multi-hyphenate [River Tiber](https://www.instagram.com/rivertiber/?hl=en) is the latest in the trend of unsigned artist to self-produce and release their own music. The Berklee College of Music grad—real name Tommy Paxton-Beesley—is not only a talented singer-songwriter but also a multi-instrumentalist and producer extraordinaire, creating or contributing to nearly every single aspect of his new single, “Nevada". The foot-tapping R&B sound and echoey vocals of “Nevada” are reminiscent of many of River Tiber’s noteworthy collaborators, including BADBADNOTGOOD, Charlotte Day Wilson, producer Frank Dukes, and Daniel Caesar. Though you may not know of River Tiber yet, game-changing artists certainly know of him. His 2016 collaboration with Daniel Caesar, “West”, was heavily sampled on “Brocken Clocks” from SZA’s Grammy-nominated masterpiece _CRTL_. His work has also been featured on or sampled by artists such as Travis Scott, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Kaytranada, Post Malone, Usher, Jhene Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Drake, and Mac Miller, among others. "This song is about embracing the unknown, leaning into the feeling of being lost, finding love in the most unlikely of places. Ultimately it’s about accepting the present. I’ve been listening to a lot of Marvin Gaye like always, and he made some of the most graceful music ever - one of my biggest inspirations,” he said of “Nevada”. * * * Slip away into a desert mirage with “Nevada”:
