London-born, Brooklyn-based Joshua Thew internalizes the end of a relationship with emotion and old soul on his debut, “Think You’re Getting Through” via Flaunt, out now. [Brandon Mercer](http://instagram.com/brandon_mercer) directs the intimate, moody video that shows Joshua pacing the floor of an empty room, contemplating loneliness until greeted by a faceless stranger. As for his inspiration behind the debut track, “This song is about a random encounter I had with someone,” Joshua recounts. “It was a realization that I had been closed off and numb with other people up until that point and an indicator that I was moving on.” * * * Expect more from Joshua with an upcoming EP “Quiet Words” due later this year and also a live performance at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC May 13th.
