Joshua Thew Makes his Debut | "Think You're Getting Through"

by Corrine Ciani

London-born, Brooklyn-based Joshua Thew internalizes the end of a relationship with emotion and old soul on his debut, “Think You’re Getting Through” via Flaunt, out now. Brandon Mercer directs the intimate, moody video that shows Joshua pacing the floor of an empty room, contemplating loneliness until greeted by a faceless stranger. As for his inspiration behind the debut track, “This song is about a random encounter I had with someone,” Joshua recounts. “It was a realization that I had been closed off and numb with other people up until that point and an indicator that I was moving on.”

Expect more from Joshua with an upcoming EP “Quiet Words” due later this year and also a live performance at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC May 13th.
