Opened in March 2025 as a joint venture between Singapore’s Zouk Group and LA hospitality powerhouse sbe, the West Hollywood club Zouk LA arrived with serious infrastructure behind it and a clear point of view. Twelve months later, that combination has proven itself on the floor, on the stage, and in the room.

The talent calendar alone reads like a year’s worth of highlight reels. Nights built around Don Toliver, Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, and Jamie Foxx set the tone early, each time a headline name shifted, the caliber never did, some retuning to the venue again, while appearances from Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Playboi Carti, Metro Boomin, Ty Dolla $ign, Gunna, Nelly, and Shaboozey made clear that the venue could hold its own across hip-hop, pop, and electronic without dilution.

Grammy weekend brought industry gatherings that drew Clive Davis, Lucian Grainge, Mariah Carey, Diane Warren, and Marc Anthony to Zouk - a reminder that the best spaces in this city serve more than one function.

The space itself was designed to carry that weight. Conceived by Christian Schulz and Studio Collective, the 16,500 square foot room is built around a central dance floor and DJ booth, with tiered VIP seating, a full bar and lounge, and an outdoor patio that gives the night somewhere to breathe. The focal point is the Mothership, a large-scale production installation that pulls together LED visuals, immersive lighting, and a high-powered sound system into something that feels less like a fixture and more like a presence.

A private lounge runs adjacent to the main room, functioning as both a VIP sanctuary and artist green room, attracting an audience of industry figures, creatives, and regulars that absorbs global talent without losing its local character. Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, David Dobrik, Nina Dobrev, Julianne Hough, and Zoey Deutch have all moved through the space over the past year, the kind of room where that sentence lands without sounding like a flex.

Zouk Group Executive Chairman Hui Lim has described the first year as one of genuine alignment with the city’s energy. sbe founder and CEO Sam Nazarian, who has spent more than two decades shaping nightlife in Los Angeles, frames the venue as a natural evolution of that longer arc rather than a departure from it.

Year two is already in motion at 643 North La Cienega Boulevard. The ambition hasn’t softened.
