Saint Laurent taps the power of nostalgia, reminding us that the past can still hold a special place. For their Spring '26 collection, Anthony Vaccarello reintroduces the Mombasa bag, originally released for the Spring/Summer 2002 collection under former creative director Tom Ford. The campaign features Bella Hadid, casually posing with the bag once favored by the doyennes of fashion, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie, Gwen Stefani, and Jessica Simpson.

Named after the city of Mombasa in Kenya, the everyday bag has been modernized from its predecessor while retaining the same bohemian and slouchy allure. Now featuring a leather handle (the original featuring a horn handle), the bag is offered in a variety of 6 deep neutral tones, along with 3 different materials and sizes. The medium and large sizes feature a suede calfskin lining and an interior pocket, whereas the small size is additionally offered in a dark bay leaf alligator.
Providing a touchstone to the past in a contemporary manner, Vaccarello ensures that pieces such as the Mombasa bag have continuity, reinforcing the idea that the past can exude modernity.
