In today’s fast-paced world, societal demands for art to invite pause and reflection have only grown more prominent. For Olga Ozerskaya, also known as Olga Iva, this quality of genuine fine art should not end at exhibitions or fairs, but extend into the home as a natural element of interior design. This connection, Olga argues, is her responsibility as an artist, especially during a time of uncertainty and disconnect.

“I see my role as an artist not just as a creator, but as a connector, bridging the gap between people and the natural world, between stillness and chaos, between the physical and the digital,” Olga stated.

Fine Art and Interior Design

From 2008 to 2020, Olga served as the founder of Omdesign, a high-end interior design studio that integrated fine art into architectural and interior spaces. During the studio’s operation, she completed more than 20 luxury projects in cities such as New York, Miami, London, Munich, and Moscow. The COVID-19 pandemic challenged the studio, but it provided an opportunity for Olga to focus on her own work.

Artistry Defined by Revealed Connections

Within Olga’s creations, there exists a challenging superposition of the natural and the artificial. She actively integrates natural elements and sustainable practices into her work, but also carefully incorporates digital media. In doing so, Olga aims to promote environmental awareness, invoking a deeper appreciation for the world reflected in the art and the emotional resonance within oneself.

Olga’s emphasis on human, natural, and digital connections has led her artwork to find a place in a wide variety of interior spaces. Her pieces have appeared prominently in art exhibitions, galleries, and fairs, but have also been incorporated into modern interior design. Given her roots as an interior designer, it is fitting that her contemporary artwork would have a home in these two worlds.

Achieving International Recognition

Olga frequently participates in major international art fairs and has actively worked with galleries such as Elga Wimmer PCC in Chelsea, New York, Visioner.art NYC, VK Gallery Amsterdam, Denis Leon Gallery in Southampton and Boca Raton, and others. Notably, in 2016, she earned first place in the Mixed-Media Final Exhibition at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Alongside her exhibition work, Olga has recently launched a coffee table art book titled Women Archetypes, based on her Women Archetypes art project. The publication explores feminine identity, emotion, and symbolism through her mixed-media and digital works, offering an intimate extension of her visual language beyond gallery walls. The book serves both as an art object and a narrative journey, reinforcing her mission to make fine art accessible within everyday living spaces.

“Through exhibitions and digital platforms,” Olga explained, “I strive to make art more accessible and inclusive, inviting diverse audiences to engage with their inner emotional landscapes. I believe that art has the power to ground us, to slow us down, and to remind us of what truly matters.”

Art That Serves as a Sanctuary

Moving forward, it is Olga’s ambition to continue creating artwork that invites stillness and presence in this modern world. To accomplish this, she intends to deepen her exploration of the intersection between nature and technology, blurring the boundaries between the physical and virtual experience. Olga further aims to expand into international markets and to participate in additional exhibitions.

“Ultimately, my goal is to offer viewers a moment of pause and reflection,” Olga concluded. “Whether through a canvas layered with sand and shells, or a digital piece that evolves with their presence.”
