Jack Rasmussen, also known online as Jack Razz, cannot be easily boxed into just one industry. As a bestselling author, artist, entrepreneur, and advocate for sustainable practices, he represents a rare kind of entrepreneur whose brand isn’t built on a single niche, but fuses many industries.
From winning a bonus round on Wheel of Fortune in 2021 with the phrase “creamy artichoke dip,” to authoring two bestselling books on food and spirituality, Jack’s path has been anything but conventional. He has a degree in Business from USC’s Marshall School with minors in Cinematic Arts and Journalism. He is also a Fulbright Scholar who got the opportunity to teach English in Taiwan. This experience inspired his second book on religion and culture. “I enjoy bringing together worlds people do not often see together,” Jack says. “Growing up as a chameleon, I could shapeshift to my environment and be part of many different circles.”
Sustainability, Faith, and Humanitarianism
Jack’s work isn’t just a creative outlet; it’s heavily rooted in social responsibility. As a frequent volunteer with Church in the Community, he spends weekends giving food to underserved communities in Sacramento. His volunteerism here and with SacMetro Church aims to promote religious exploration and reduce food waste while giving people access to much-needed community support and nourishment.
At Sherwin-Williams, he blends art and environmental consciousness, promoting the use of U9K, a water-based, low-VOC automotive paint that is more eco-friendly. He has helped bring this eco-conscious product to numerous auto body shops in Northern and Southern California.
He strives to make the world a better place for all of its inhabitants. “If that means volunteering my time and resources, then I do that,” he wrote. He believes that businesses should lead with a moral compass. After working with the National Science Foundation, he further promotes his mission to advocate for cultural understanding and ethics across industries.
From Print to Paint: Image in the Public Eye
Jack’s public presence has rapidly expanded in the past few years, partially thanks to his abundant online footprint. He’s been featured on ABC15, Yahoo Finance, and AP News, and is currently serving as a Senior Executive Contributor for Brainz Magazine.
Introducing Ovalism to the world, Jack is analyzing a new way to express and digest colors. He currently sells automotive paint and enjoys mixing many colors for his clients, leaving an oval on the top of the can. “I like seeing the colors in motion,” Jack asserts. “A color brought to life reverberates a particular and precise energy.” His Restoration Rose series on canvas has drawn in some fans, and he enjoys the therapeutic dimension of abstract art.
He has earned recognition at Sacramento’s top-rated I Street Art Studios, showing his work alongside local artists while trying new West African cuisines from the gallery’s neighbor.
He has also been growing in significance within the fashion world. He signed with E1 Universe, a German modeling agency, and has recently sewn his first tote bag at Topstitch Production. “Fashion and colors have always inspired my way of life,” he shares. They can be more than just an aesthetic, but a language for identity and feelings.
Building a Brand That’s Alive
His books serve as a blueprint for resilience, cultural connection, and conscientious living. He’s currently working on his third non-fiction book, which explores the relationship between painting, color coating, and personal transformation.
Looking ahead, Jack is focusing on expanding his YouTube channel, covering everything from food to philosophy to creative entrepreneurship. He plans to continue fusing visual storytelling, business strategy, and global culture. Jack Rasmussen isn’t a static figure, but an evolving representation of what creativity and conscience can look like when brought together.
