On a sunny day in Barcelona (as usual), we meet Elizabeth Lip at Borneta—designed by the Soho House signature interior designer James Thurstan Waterworth, a boutique hotel from the relatively new luxury hotel chain Miiro. Much like the hotel itself, Elizabeth is a luxury lifestyle and travel content creator: highly niche and highly detail-oriented (she calls herself a “preview-the-grid person” referring to her meticulously choosing the angles, the covers, basically anything content related), yet steadily expanding her presence on a global scale. In the last year, she has successfully collaborated with well-known brands, and several of her published content pieces have gone viral, and still, she manages to keep an active, loyal audience who feels like they get to move through life with Liz virtually.

All that glitters is not gold. It’s more than that

Her “global girl” identity is not aesthetic but lived: she has been to over 12 countries and traveled across more than 25 cities in 2022 alone. This life experience is what has shaped her and her content. While always being commented on by people that she is “beauty and brains” (thanks to her “serious” university background in political science, as she jokes about herself), her unique selling point is actually in balancing between portraying the luxury lifestyle aesthetic -—loved by everyone - —and being open and authentic - —admired by the majority.

Luxury meets emotional honesty

She says, “You can build a lux online presence without hiding the struggle behind it,” and her social media pages exemplify this.

Lip is known for showcasing both glamour and chaos, as seen in her viral behind-the-scenes breakdown of a failed airport trip. This particular example refers to the story that happened earlier this year and beautifully describes the essence of the influencer. What was supposed to be a long-awaited luxury resort stay for two in Thailand, when Liz happened to take the expired copy of her passport, and as a result, was unable to board her booked flight. “On the way back home to get the correct passport, I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it back to the airport in time, and upon this realization, I not only started crying but filming myself while crying,” she says.

And when she posted this video, where she basically makes fun of herself - —which, no surprise, went viral - —she understood that it was more than just relatable content for others; it was also a valid healing tool for herself. She creates elegant reels and embraces raw captions about visa struggles and mental health. Her work highlights how even “mistakes” can become growth opportunities when approached with transparency and wit.

Strategic Career Evolution: The LA to Barcelona Story

Currently, Lip works in multiple roles. Among her long-term partnerships are a presenting role on Estate Barcelona’s luxury real estate YouTube channel, which she compares to “a Spanish version of Selling Sunset/Architectural Digest”; the brand face of the private jet booking platform Mirai Flights; and an influencer ambassador with Flowwow. Apart from these, she says she has over three to four one-time collaborations with new brands almost every week. She also points out that now it’s the perfect time for micro influencers like her - —brands are looking more for quality [engagement] than quantity [total number of followers]. And that is exactly why she believes she was lucky to be trusted by luxury moguls such as Piaget, Bombardier, Lamborghini, and others to create content for these brands.

Lip has been named among Feedspot’s Top 60 Micro Fashion Influencers (2025) and featured by Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, ROE Magazine, Soho House, Bold Journey, and Voyage LA. She has ongoing brand collaborations with YSL Beauty, Armani Beauty, Kerastase, Glovo, the Flo app, and many more.

“2026 is my year.”

Throughout our conversation, Elizabeth seems to have a very good sense of humor. But there’s one thing she is definitely not joking about: her grand plans for the upcoming year. As she puts it herself, “It doesn’t matter if you’re into astrology or religion or neither: trust me, if you were born on December 25th, by default you become someone who’s obliged to succeed, like a Capricorn, and to face all the accompanying challenges with one’s head held high, like Jesus Christ.”

Her long-term vision is to continue working with luxury brands in fashion and travel, release some music, and, most importantly, continue curating this ecosystem of trust and love in her social media blog - —a place that feels as good as it looks.
