Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Ari Mediratta has spent most of his life developing the skills needed to be a break-out music star. Having discovered his love for music at a young age, he decided early on that he wanted to dedicate his life to it.

Between 8 and 11, Ari joined vocal classes and performed at concerts and charity events throughout Nairobi, eventually leading to studio sessions and radio plays for his cover songs. An early highlight of his career came in 2017 when he performed for over 5,000 people alongside renowned Kenyan artist Eric Wainaina. 

Ari moved to the UK in 2018 to attend boarding school, and it was here that he began writing songs in earnest. In 2019, Ari won a Producer’s Award for Young Artists, which helped pave the road to stardom and led to studio sessions and songwriting development. Influenced by artists like Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, and Billie Eilish, Ari pursued his musical style as he collaborated with producer Leland Grant and vocal coach Sean Michael Murray. In 2022, he released his debut single, ‘YOU,’ to widespread acclaim. 

Now, backed by a massive online following (over 600k followers on TikTok alone), Ari has shared his latest release ‘Tragic.’ 

This new single is as clean-cut a pop anthem as you could ask for. The Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber influence is apparent everywhere, but Ari’s voice has a uniquely warm grit, making his lyrics more heartfelt. 

He’s doing everything right when it comes to being a star.
