Andrew Boszhardt is a writer, producer, and actor whose multifaceted approach to independent filmmaking is reshaping the narrative landscape. His latest cinematic achievement, Breed of Greed, was screened at the 2024 Big Apple Film Festival (BAFF), earning acclaim for its gripping exploration of ambition, betrayal, and the devastating costs of greed. The film will have its theatrical debut at select theaters in the Fall of 2025, followed by its release on streaming platforms for the highly anticipated thriller.

Balancing three creative roles, Boszhardt brings a unique depth to his projects. “As a writer, I’m crafting the narrative; as a producer, I’m ensuring the vision is executed; and as an actor, I’m embodying the story,” he shared during a post-screening Q&A. This holistic perspective enables Boszhardt to create rich, cohesive works that resonate deeply with audiences.

Boszhardt’s journey began in improv theater, where he honed his collaborative spirit and creative adaptability. His stage debut in Resurrection, a play about the 1921 Black Wall Street Massacre, highlighted his talent for portraying emotionally complex characters. The play's revival aligned with the Department of Justice's inaugural federal investigation into the massacre, underscoring its relevance and significance for today's audiences.

He has also taken on classical roles, starring in Henry V at the American Theatre of Actors in New York City. As Shakespeare’s most famous war play, Bozhardt’s performance in it marked an exciting new chapter in his acting journey. Bringing Shakespeare to life demands not only a mastery of language but also the ability to channel deep human emotion through centuries-old text. It’s a rare skill to make Shakespeare feel immediate and alive, and Bozhardt rose to the challenge with precision, heart, and a clear respect for the craft.

While he continues to make his mark on stage, Boszhard still keeps a focus on his work for independent cinema, valuing its unparalleled freedom. “It allows you to tell stories that challenge traditional molds,” he said.

In Breed of Greed, he brings to life a tale of a pharmaceutical dynasty torn apart by a mysterious death and an ancient curse, as an actor, producer, and writer. The film’s chilling commentary on corporate ethics and human ambition underscores Boszhardt’s ability to marry entertainment with thought-provoking themes

Co-produced with Ralph Hemecker and Otto Eckstein, Breed of Greed masterfully intertwines supernatural elements with real-world critiques of unchecked wealth and corporate power. Its stellar cast, including Gina Gershon and Adrian Enscoe, brings life to the Wendolyn family—a pharmaceutical empire grappling with betrayal, greed, and an ancient curse. The film’s eerie score and atmospheric cinematography amplify its haunting narrative

As Breed of Greed continues to captivate audiences, Boszhardt is already embarking on new projects that challenge genre conventions and storytelling norms. “Every project is an opportunity to grow,” he said, reflecting his relentless pursuit of innovation.

Boszhardt has also collaborated with industry giants on notable projects, including Cutman. Directed by Michael Mailer, Cutman unfolds the story of two shattered souls seeking revenge and redemption, crossing paths at a remote motel. In this gripping and tragic film, Boszhardt had the privilege of working alongside Bill Fichtner and Chris Noth.

Looking ahead, Boszhardt is set to star in the feature films Feral and Cancel Town, both of which he also wrote and are currently in development. With these exciting projects on the horizon and an impressive body of work already behind him, Andrew Boszhardt is emerging as a powerful new voice in the entertainment industry. With his talent for blending high-concept narratives with profound social commentary, his work stands as a testament to the transformative power of storytelling and the boundless possibilities of creative collaboration
