VOILA gives Flaunt an exclusive premiere for their newest single “TAKE A NUMBER,’” a globe-trotting, late-entry contender for 2019’s Song of the Summer.
VOILA exists as the music platform for Luke Eisner, a multi-hyphenate talent whose credits include work as a model for brands like American Eagle and Ralph Lauren while also guest starring on shows like _The Goldbergs_ and the lead actor in Netflix’s upcoming series _Tall Girl_. For VOILA, he pairs up with Gus Ross, a fellow LA musician, for a pop project inspired by global sounds and silky melodies. The duos previous offerings have generated nearly a million listens on Spotify.
The inspiration for “TAKE A NUMBER,” comes directly from the streets of Los Angeles. Luke and Gus describe the song as an ode to the faux “Dimes,” which populate the city.
“This one is about the hot headed people at the club who walk around like they own the place: the “Dimes” as they would have you believe. Well, you know the phrase, it’s a dime a dozen. They can get in line with the usual suspects that grace the sunset strip, who all think they are God’s gift to Instagram/Soulcycle/Sephora.”
