RE/DONE + THE ATTICO
What happens when you bring together two very different fashion brands for an original line which celebrates vintage, and the idea of transforming old into something new? You have the newest line from RE/DONE and The Attico, a collaboration focused on reimagining Los Angeles in the 70’s and 80’s.
It’s been a collaboration crazed year in fashion. There’s nothing more intriguing than the love child produced by two fashion houses with different ideas and taste. Whatever the outcome, the results are always intriguing and wholly original. RE/DONE is known for creating sustainable fashion through heritage brands, while The Attico, an Italian based brand, collects artisanal pieces which beg to be flaunted on city streets. Their lines embody the coolness radiating from different cities, which makes their union with RE/DONE, a house based in Downtown Los Angeles, a perfect fit. Even though there’s a noticeable difference between the two houses, a love of all things vintage remains a great Uniter.
“This collaboration with RE/DONE gave us the opportunity to work with real vintage pieces in order to keep the authenticity of the product, “ Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio, the founders of The Attico, said in a previously released statement. “It was fun to add crystals, bows, crop the hoodies, drape denim pants into miniskirts, give cargo pants a sexy look. We envisioned a new different woman from the one that we usually reference with our own brand.”
With floral dresses, 70s inspired graphic tees, and tailored cargos, the RE/DONE and The Attico collaboration embodies the effortlessly coolness which graced the streets of Los Angeles in the 1970s and 1980s. Is it heaven or is it Los Angeles? The line between the two will grow even more blurry with this collaboration.
RE/DONE + The Attico collection will be available at Matches Fashion, Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette Champs Elysees, Antonia, and Barneys New York on May 15th.
