After a thorough stretching session guests were brought into a room with a line of treadmills facing a panoramic visual display with graphics that played on LA’s iconography, the shoes molded to the feet within moments of movement, adjusting and personalizing to each wearer optimal capability.

The sole of the shoe holds the magic, where carefully placed pods of TPE Beads await their chance to alleviate the stress and weight of hard surface running; what Nike describes as “Zonal-Tuning”. The TPE Beads, a copolymer made of plastic and rubber, act as cushioning support on major pressure points likes the heel and toe, forming to the foot to create a personalized running experience. And if you aren’t already sold on the engineering specifics, the total 5 stylistic iterations might do the trick. Between the likes of Joyride Flyknit, Optik, Setter, NSW, and Nova, there’s an option for most everyone. While the Nike Joyride Flyknit is available to Nike Members starting July 25, the sneaker will be available globally starting August 15, 2019.
