Known for her eccentric and experimental sound on her debut EP _LETRA_, West London rapper and singer Lava La Rue has just announced her newest mixtape _Stitches_.
Lava La Rue also released “[Moschino in 83](https://lavalarue.lnk.to/MOSCHINOIN83)”, a single featuring South London rapper Virgil Hawkins. The singer says that the track followed a deep conversation between herself and Hawkins on “not feeling the need to linger at parties anymore / go to functions just to say you went nor be around people who aren't giving back emotionally”. Instead, the two choose to put their energy into their careers, working as hard as Franco Moschino in 1983, the year the brand was founded.
20-year old La Rue founded [NiNE8](https://www.nine8collective.com/), a group of London based musicians, rappers, artists and other creatives when she began college, and since then she has worked to redefine the image of UK rap. At an early age, Lava La Rue constantly proves that she is capable of much more than music through her work as an art curator and fashion tastemaker.
With “Moschino in 83”, Lava La Rue flows effortlessly between rap and R&B while announcing to the world that the only thing she’s focusing on right now is herself.
