Photo Recap: Hard Summer Music Festival

Last weekend, EDM enthusiasts roamed Fontana's Auto Club Speedway grounds for Hard Summer's most sunny, sweaty, sexy, and serotonin sucking festival to date. Thanks to Insomniac Events, I, as well as 165,000 other minimally dressed music lovers, had the pleasure of putting our immune systems and ear drums to the test for the opportunity to see truly the greatest names in modern music. I mean, c'mon, Diplo and Dillon Francis? Two of the electronic dance music kings together on stage in race car driver costumes mixing Migos with Fisher for a beat drop that made thousands literally explode with joy. Also, our girl TOKiMONSTA completely killed the game with a set that fans will never be able to get out of their heads. The vibe of the festival was as vibrant as always, as every performer's visuals and light show matched the boldness and color palette of festival goers intricate outfits. One can bask under beautiful shades as they hum tunes of Big Wild just after head-banging for a non-stop party hour in the Cornona Beach tent (which is yes, covered in sand and decorated to remind us all of spring break beach days) and eventually patiently wait for Travis Scott to open up some mosh-pits as he drops the bars of his newest album, Astroworld; all of this just within a few hours. Although many of us are sunburnt and still sneezing black with desert dust, Hard has an addictive quality that will make all of us not only want to but need to go back year after year. As I sleep for 5 days in recovery of this music festival, I have dreams of the performances. The inner rave-booty in all of us is satisfied... for now.
