Majestic Casual prodigies, Shagabond and Noah, recently teamed up for a collaborative EP to chronicle the emotional stages of a romance. The up-and-coming artists pooled experiences with past lovers to create the 6-track journey entitled, "**_Everything, All At Once_**.” Shagabond’s synth beat production invigorates Noah’s hushed vocals, manifesting the ultimate “feel good” soundtrack.
Today, the Toronto-based artists premiere a video for the EP’s second track, **_Helium_**. "The whole theme of the project being the life cycle of a relationship stemmed from this song. Helium is about two people meeting for the first time and resulting in immediate infatuation,” Noah reveals. Directed and shot by Tristan CM, the creative trio set off to Greece to breathe visual life into the chemical element. Conceptualized from the famous French short film, "The Red Balloon,” Tristan’s re-adaptation is a 3-minute-and-30-second video shot at Shagabond’s family home in Kyparissia, Greece. “I have been visiting Kyparissia almost every year since I was three years old, so I knew all the best places to get shots,” Shagabond explains, “The main character, Dimitri \[Panagiotopoulos\], and the supporting actress, Sasha \[Barrow\], are both family friends that I have known since they were very young; it was really nice to be able to include them in the video. Tristan shot the entire video on a 1950’s 16mm Bolex camera from Switzerland and 1000 feet of Kodak Vision film, and I shot all the BTS on 35mm film as well to maintain a balanced aesthetic. Couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out, I’m glad we were able to capture the rawness of the landscape; hopefully, we did my village justice.”
