If you’ve ever spotted obscure quotes, phrases, or thoughts around LA in a vintage typewriter font, you’re probably looking at work from [WRDSMTH](https://www.instagram.com/wrdsmth/)— a published writer turned street artist. WRDSMTH was born and raised in the Midwest, but made his way to LA in the hopes of chasing his dreams. In 2013, he began posting what he calls “WRDS” around LA as a hobby that tied in his love for writing and street art.  His work is a unique combination of mixing inspirational messages with stenciling and wheatpasting. Most of WRDSMTH’s work is thought-provoking and leaves the viewer feeling self-assured and ready to tackle the world.  To highlight his first solo show in LA, WRDSMTH will host an art event "I'd Like To Have a WRD With You" in collaboration with [Street Art House](https://www.streetarthouse.com/) on November 4. Guests will be the first to view and purchase one of a kind pieces, apparel, and prints of his most popular murals seen in downtown Los Angeles, New York, and beyond. **For more information about the event and ticket info, head to** [**WRDSMTHinLA.eventbrite.com**](http://WRDSMTHinLA.eventbrite.com)**.**  * * * Written by Knia Cotton
