I Am A Fountain Of Blood In The Shape Of A Girl
Director/Photographer Tamar Levine presents a photo-story and film featuring actress and model Lola Albright.
In the "what time is it, really?" spirit of our forthcoming, The Nocturne Issue, L.A.-based photographer Tamar Levine captures actress/model Lola Albright in dreamy, canyon-land homage to Bjork's record, Biophelia, where nature meets the dark, technological train we're now so undeniably on board of... peppered of course with a nod to Laura Levine's iconic images of the songstress snapped in Woodstock, 1991.
Albright, who has been a fan of Bjork since age 14 and possesses an arguably uncanny physical likeness to the musician, shares on the shoot:
"Bjork's peculiar power and glacial grace transformed my awkward teen angst, which was fending for freedom, into a fearless flight inside my mind. To enter into my own body that way? The sky, the core of the Earth, broke me, and in all honor, honestly, built the being I am today. You can imagine how surreal, then, it was, to live from those days of puberty forward, with the constant comparison from others moved by my affinity for her and my physical comparison. This photo story is an especially cool one for me, as the stylist has known and has grown with me for several years. The opportunity to assume Bjork's blitheness by way of her vision, was a celestial enveloping & emerging."
