Tyler, the Creator and Odd Future's L-Boy teamed up to create _The Jellies_ animated series and shared a new trailer teasing the series this week. The new trailer takes us on a tour of the city of Walla Walla, where human Cornell Jelly lives with his adopted jellyfish family. Additionally, Tyler tweeted[@tylerthecreator](https://twitter.com/tylerthecreator/status/908377881893519360) that "85% of the music \[was\] scored by" him. [Adult Swim](http://www.flaunt.com/content/music/15-weeks-mf-doom-adult-swim?rq=adult%20swim) has been no stranger to housing many quaint and hip-hop-infused shows, so it's only right for _The Jellies_ to find its home there.  _The Jellies_ first exclusively featured on the GOLF Media app with the main character, Cornell Jelly, as a white kid, but was changed to a Black kid for Adult Swim. During a [Q&A session at Comic Con](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ae-8-cbCpjk) to promote the series earlier this year, Tyler was asked why Cornell was black now.   “‘Why you make him black?’ Why can’t niggas have anything, man? How many fuckin’ black cartoon characters is it on TV right now? Name five. I’ll give you time. It is none. They cancelled _Static Shock_, nobody remember _Fillmore_, like we don’t got shit… So I said, fuck that, we about to make this nigga black, and he ain’t got no guns, he ain’t shoot no fucking basketball, and he a fucking goober, and we gon’ put him on TV. And he’s the lead character, he ain’t the comic relief, he ain’t the sidekick, he the lead nigga.” 2017 has been a grand year for Tyler as he dropped his _Flower Boy_ album, collaborated with Converse One Star, and showed us his odd, yet exciting interests in Viceland's _Nuts and Bolts._ Catch Tyler's latest project, _The Jellies_, on Adult Swim on October 22. * * * Written by Kelly An
