Pharrell Williams, is joining forces with Tracy Oliver, the genius writer behind the comedy _Girls Trip_, to create an adaption of the book _Survive the Night,_ written by Danielle Vega.
The book follows four girls as they attend Survive the Night festival, an underground rave in a New York City subway tunnel. Things turn from fun to fearful as they are surrounded by frightening drugs, creepy strangers and dead bodies. Can this night get any worse?

The forthcoming horror film has been picked up by Warner Bros and is expected to be an empowerment story with music as a large component. Oliver will write the script and direct the movie and Williams will produce alongside Mimi Valdes, his business partner at I am Other Entertainment.
There has been no announcement of a release date but we can expect the film will be good. Williams, Valdes and Oliver have previously collaborated on _Award Black Girl_, a Youtube series starring Issa Rae and have worked on separate projects including _Hidden Figures_ and singer Jhené Aiko’s short film _Trip_.
