This town might not be big enough for the both of us, but it is big enough for [Russell Young](http://www.russellyoung.com) and his latest hand-pulled silkscreen series. For the first time in the United States, the British-American artist is debuting the series _WEST_ at the [Art Angels Gallery](https://dubroworks.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?e=8dbc9c65f3&id=a348eb2d87&u=4ff908c1d6f58f4a8f21e8cd9) in Los Angeles. For most of his life Young was fascinated by the American West. That fascination has blossomed into _WEST_.
“In _WEST_, I am asking you to witness my own personal souring of the American Dream as well as a deeper glimpse of my lifelong obsession with the American Southwest, the Glory Days of Los Angeles, the faded Hollywood Star, the lost nations, the Jokers, the Poet, the Thief, the lone Cowboy out riding fences,” Young said.

Young uses one-of-a-kind handmade pigments to turns themes like the commercialization of cowboys into advertisements, the meaning behind the American Dream, the treatment of Indigenous people, and modern gun culture to images. Featured in the series is likes of Cheyenne Chiefs, Hells Angels, NASCAR racers and more.
