We grabbed the '67 Mustang from the garage to join MR PORTER at the Hollywood Premiere Hotel, which was remade for the evening as the 'MR PORTER motel'. The cause for our rendezvous? 'Made in California,' a series of 12 exclusive capsule collections inspired by the West Coast and featuring twelve brands with California roots, including _Amiri, The Elder Statesman, Golden Bear, James Perse, John Elliott, Mollusk Surf, Noon Goons, Outerknown, Rick Owens, Second/Layer, Simon Miller,_ and _Stussy_. The collection [launched](https://www.mrporter.com/mens/list/made_in_california) on MRPORTER on April 18th, followed by a dedicated issue of the MR PORTER _Journal_ debuting on April 20th.
Highlights of the night included a special DJ set by Mike WiLL Made-It; food and drink from Don Julio, Hanger 1 Vodka, House Beer, B.S. Taqueria and In-N-Out Burger; a specialty gift shop with 'MR PORTER Motel' branded takeaways; and a "maker's room" featuring customizable patches by Lot, Stock and Barrel.
