The Gospel According To The NYC Dancefloor

by flaunt

The latest chapter in Ladyfag's nightlife revelations is BATTLE HYMN, and we bring word from the commander in chief herself.
"Music is a unifying force. Stripped down of all gimmicks & armed with a next level sound system and lighting, Battle Hymn continues the long tradition in gay culture of going to 'church' on Sundays, the night begins with 9pm-midnight dedicated to disco & classic house, with the second half of the night going harder with a blend of house & tech house. Opening night was inaugurated with house legend Todd Terry making the crowd dance till the lights came up! The gospel according to the dancefloor.. Battle Hymn." — Ladyfag

Sadly, we missed this whirlwind event . But we're glad to share Rebecca Smeyne's kaleidoscopic photos, an unmitigated testament to the truth at hand:

she who beds early, refined,

does miss out on motliest times.

Each month the BATTLE HYMN line-up will be anchored by resident’s DJs Honey Dijon and The Carry Nation. Upcoming months will see the likes of Honey Soundsystem (San Francisco), Discodromo (Berlin), Kim Ann Foxman, Jacques Renault, Prosumer (Edinburgh) and more unadulterated enablers of FOMO.
