Photo Diary with UK songstress, Jess Glynne

by Morgan Vickery

Jess Glynne is the London-based singer/ songwriter breaking music chart history in the UK. Her most recent album, “Always In Between,” debuted at #1 in the UK [the only #1 album by a British female this year]. The songstress continues to push boundaries in the industry, furthering her feminist mission towards self-love. “Thursday,” is a featured song in the sophomore album, co-written with Ed Sheeran. The confident ballad speaks to her self-love pursuit:

“Sometimes I try to embrace all my insecurities

So I won't wear makeup on Thursday

'Cause who I am is enough

And there are many things that I could change so slightly

But why would I succumb to something so unlike me?

I was always taught to just be myself

Don't change for anyone”

As she prepares for the release of “Thursday’s” music video, Jess reveals an exclusive photo diary. With photographer Dan Curwin, the two offer a behind the scenes look at the vulnerable video-in-the-making. The beautifully intimate shot photo series creates a fury of excitement as we await the visual release of the profound composition.
