Lydia Hearst is a prominent fashion model, television personality, life-style blogger, and actress. A scion of the Hearst dynasty, Lydia has carved her own path with a blindingly successful modeling career that has seen her front countless magazines, fashion campaigns, and catwalk shows.

Lydia is one of the panelists for the Fresh Faces in Fashion Selection Committee of GEN ART—an organization dedicated to finding the new leaders in fashion, music, film and art.

For its 20th anniversary, GEN ART will offer three finalists a scholarship in its mentoring program, which culminates in a sponsored show at New York Fashion Week. Past GEN ART alumni include Zac Posen, and Phillip Lim. The program is now open for entry at: http://www.genartfreshfaces.com

But for now, What's in Yr Fridge Lydia Hearst?

I’m currently obsessed with color. I don’t think of myself as trendy. There’s no real theme to my home and I love to mix and match everything. This is where I sit and enjoy my morning coffee every day or have tea when the girls come over. It’s a chic and whimsical combination of Jonathan Adler and Mackenzie Childs.

These are my Barbies. The one in the upper left corner is the doll I got when I was 4 for Christmas, that was the moment when I decided I wanted to grow up and be Barbie—a dream I’m sure many girls have, and one I was fortunate enough to have come true. I love these dolls.

This may seem weird, but I have a thing for antiques and taxidermy (don’t worry though, all my pieces are either old antiques or certified death by natural causes, I would never harm a living creature!).  I love little pieces like this cup that has the gold-leaf paint and the tiny little mouse. You can put small, funky items like this everywhere and not feel overwhelmed.

Entertainment is my life. These are all original print film posters, and are just a small sampling of my private collection that's spread between my New York and Los Angeles homes. The chair is from my days as a supermodel mentor on The Face, and the stag head is an original antique I picked up on my recent travels through Austria. Everywhere in my house, you will find Bavarian pieces and inspiration—I love it!
