Anton Yelchin

Flaunt sends our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Anton Yelchin, an incredibly talented young man who passed long before his time. It was our privilege to have featured him on the cover of Issue 105, The Vagabond Issue.

He was a dear friend of the magazine, and will be missed. A thoughtful man, he told us: "Fascism doesn't disappear. It's an intrinsic part of Western culture. The basic idea of fascism is that you make people into objects for the state. And that's cinema. The audience is the subject of the cinema, they're being subjected to whatever you're putting out there."

Cinema has lost a contributor of intelligence and originality.
