The duo, comprised of Marc Gilfry and Jordan Feller, take a contemporary approach to the resonate pop rock often seen of the 21st century, diving down a rabbit hole once explored by the likes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Poolside (who they, coincidentally, just finished supporting on tour), and many, many more. However, Neil Frances isn’t afraid to go deeper, showcasing the eclecticism necessary to voyage into new-age rock. The duo released their debut E.P. _Took A While_ this August, accompanying this 6-track project with a music video for the track “Ask Me Anything,” shot on Super 8 and directed by Kate Biel and Elliot Watson, whom work collectively under the moniker KEWB. Neil Frances aren’t afraid to get funky, often interlacing stringent basslines with sporadic guitar riffs, creating an atmosphere achievable only through sheer experimentation. Expect such an atmosphere this Saturday.
