Your song of the summer has arrived. DJ Tennis’ new single from his forthcoming mix with DJ-Kicks is out today, and it’s got those soft summer vibes that every poolside or sunny road trip needs to have. DJ Tennis (néeManfredi Romano) has had a long career in music. He started out managing punk bands, then moved on to start an Italian rock and electronic music booking agency before founding his own record label, Life and Death. His unique sound soothes with moody downtempo electronic spiced with organic elements and refrains that tread near Classical territory, boasting evocative melodies and lush arrangement. Then it all turns a corner and you find yourself head-banging to an irresistible driving beat. As a testament to his talents within the genre, DJ Tennis is the first artist on DJ Kicks’ long-running series of mixes to be granted two discs instead of one. The mix plays like a diptych: the first disc is notably chiller, while the second accelerates the tempo and, with it, the energy. The mix is out on July 14th, and you can pre-order it [here](https://k7.lnk.to/DJTennisDJKicks). Next, DJ Tennis will embark on a tour across America throughout the month of August, ending the run with a performance at Burning Man Festival in Nevada. We are pleased to premiere the DJ Tennis version of Frank Bretschneider's "Go! Said the Bird". Have a listen:  * * * Written by: Helen Murphy  Photos provided.
