The Hollywood Walk Of Fame Will Welcome Late Singer Selena, Los Angeles Announces Official Day in Her Honor
Although Selena Quintanilla has not been with us since 1995 it is clear that she continues to be adored and continues to inspire.
Just days ago stars, Demi Lovato and Kim Kardashian dressed up as the late Tejano singer for Halloween. In 2014 singer Selena Gomez released her namesake's "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom," dropping herself into the track. Last year, thousands lined up hoping to be the first to buy Mac's Selena makeup line, and Google recently (October 17) celebrated the icon as well with a video to the same track Gomez choose.
So it comes as no surprise that Selena will be receiving the honor of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her sister Suzette Quintanilla recently (November 1) posted via Instagram explaining that she helped this project become a reality.
According to @Selenaqoffical's Insta the star will be unveiled tomorrow, November 3. Fellow Texan, actress, and producer Eva Longoria and Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti will also be a hand to deem November 3 the official Selena Day in the City of Angels.
The Quintanilla family invites all Selena's fans and admirers to join them for the unveiling which will take place Friday at 6:30pm in front of the Capitol Records building located at 1750 Vine Street in Hollywood, CA.
