The blossoming musician talks about about her musical influences, her fashion style, and her upcoming EP.
Meet your not so typical high school senior, Valentina. The young teen has yet to finish high school, but has already achieved recognition as a model and photographer by being signed to FORD models and appearing in major fashion publications. Now the young model is embarking on a new journey as a musician, and has just released her very first music video for her debut track “Easy for U”. The video, shot by Yun Kim and directed by the model herself, tells the story of two lovers who are parting ways, and the sorrow that follows. With elusive dark vocals and funky dream pop melodies, “Easy For You” draws the audience into the world of the young couple and the nostalgic feeling of young love. We were able to talk to the blossoming musician about her musical influences, her fashion style, and her upcoming EP.
**What comes first, fashion or music?** Music! I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember.
**In a few words, how would you describe your fashion style?** Simple yet edgy with a pop of color here and there.
**In a few words, how would you describe your musical taste?** The music that I keep coming back to is the music that makes me feel some type of way, be it sad or happy, that’s when it’s successful.
**Who influences you musically?** Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ella Fitzgerald, Lorde, Kanye West.
**Favorite album of all time?** Late Registration.
**Best advice you’ve ever received?** Never leave home in the morning without breakfast.
**What can we expect from your upcoming EP?** Songs which speak of love, grudges, and anger. There will be visuals for each song.
