The young, gender-fluid twin musicians who go as The Garden were scouted while playing a show at L.A.’s Echoplex, and subsequently walked in Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent’s A/W13 show, becoming muses to Slimane in the process. Wyatt and Fletcher Shears have always dressed a little differently from the crowd. Sharing the same label as Cherry Glazerr, Ty Segall, and Shannon and the Clams, the Shears brothers will release their fifth album, Haha
, via Burger Records in October. Although they have an impressive discography already, it is their live shows that really seal the deal, characterized by an arresting sense of urgency, The Garden throws you heavily into their parallel world of vada-vada.*
