Easton Schirra’s soulful voice paired with smooth R&B inspired beats gives his listeners a sense of freedom and joy. The Texas born, Los Angeles-based singer has always been an artist at heart, but at times, finds it overwhelming. “I want to do everything, create in every medium and explore every avenue. It seems like so many conversations in LA ultimately reach that point where they’re like, 'So, what do you do?' And I’m like, 'Well, where do I begin?' But, why can’t we do everything?”
Before music, he found success in a variety of other mediums, one of them being photography. He has shot stars names like Joe Jonas, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Charlie XCX. Amid perfecting his photography skills in New York City, Easton responded to his love for music and dove into songwriting thanks to his father.
“My dad inspired me from a young age to sing and instilled in me my love for music," he says. "I’ve always known that I was going to do music one day.” His musical taste evolves from his time spent in jazz choir and admiration of Earth, Wind & Fire along with his passion for contemporary R&B music, which is evident in his breakthrough single.
Easton now plans to reintroduce himself to the world as a musical artist. He recently signed with Kobalt/AWAL to release his debut single, “Blue Love,” an anthem about drowning in love and the swelling of emotions. “What I want from 'Blue Love' is for it to feel like it wraps you up and doesn’t let you go_,_” he says.
Besides his single, Easton also plans on releasing a project later this year that captures the life and energy in his work, “When people listen to my music," Easton says, "I simply want to make them feel good and make music that they can make good memories with. I have a lot I have yet to reveal to the world.”
