Tonight the Los Feliz Library will host three up and coming California architects at the Architecture & Beyond lecture series. “Making Their Mark: Emerging LA Architects” will explore the journey an architect takes from childhood interest to professional practice. A panel comprised of three nationally recognized architects, Dan Brunn, AIA, Melissa Hanley, AIA, IIDA, and Ed Ogosta, AIA, have been invited to discuss youth’s impact on design. The panel will be moderated by architectural marketing specialist Julie D. Taylor, founder of Taylor & Company in 1994. Dan Brunn was named one of architecture’s “Rising Stars” by _Architectural Digest_. He founded his firm, Dan Brunn Architecture, in 2005 to develop commercial and residential projects worldwide. He also designs highly functional but sophisticated furniture. Inspired by Bauhaus architecture, Brunn reinterprets Modernist principles in minimalist designs for living, shopping, and dining. Melissa Hanley, named one of the “Upstart 50” by the _San Francisco Business Times,_ co-founded Blitz in 2009. With offices in San Fransisco and Los Angeles, her company offers a variety of design solutions, including architecture, interior design, graphics, and branding, for workplaces, restaurants, retail, and education. Ed Ogosta, winner of 2018 AIA/Los Angeles Emerging Practice Award, founded Edward Ogosta Architecture in 2011. His expertise include programming, visioning, planning, and design of a wide range of building types, including cultural facilities, higher education buildings, creative office interiors, museums, high-end residences, and multifamily housing. Ogosta’s goal is to craft quiet, intelligent structures with clarity and experiential depth. Thursday, November 15, 6:45-7:45 p.m., at the [Los Feliz Library](https://www.lapl.org/branches/los-feliz), 1874 Hillhurst Ave.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
