H&M Celebrates launch of "Conscious Exclusive" campaign with star-studded dinner
As much as we love it, fashion can be tough on our planet. Dyes, plastics, bleaches, waste – it adds up, and it's becoming clear that changes have to be made. H&M are doing their part to set the trends for a more sustainable (yet still fabulous) future with their new "Conscious Exclusive" collection, an "elevated assortment created using sustainable materials and fabrics".
To celebrate the launch of the collection, H&M creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson hosted an exclusive dinner in Los Angeles. Attendees included the face of the campaign, Natalia Vodianova, and luminaries from a variety of creative backgrounds, joined together in support of a future rooted in sustainability. Notable attendees were too many to count, but among them the likes of Chrissy Tiegen, Orlando Bloom, Kate Mara, Ahna O'Reilly, Angela Lindvall, Rowan Blanchard, Hailey Baldwin, Kiersey Clemons, Sasha Lane, Lucky Blue Smith and Stormi Bree could be spotted.
The intimate evening was held at the uber eco-friendly SmogShoppe. Entering guests were greeted by an art installation featuring the centerpiece of the H&M Conscious Exclusive collection: an "ethereal plissé pleated gown featuring BIONIC®, a polyester made from recycled shoreline plastic". After mingling amidst cocktails, the guests took their seats to enjoy a farm-to-table meal by chef Suzanne Goin of L.A. staple Lucques, which was delightfully paired with ethically-sourced speaker-to-ear tunes spun by DJ Nikki Pennie.
