Broaden your herizens with this new song for the summer. Fresh off Baz Lurhman's _The Get Down_, Cuban-Jamaican vocalist, songwriter and actor Herizen Gurdiola released her first single, “Social Jungle” — a searing pop commentary on LA. Explaining the inspiration behind the track, she says, “I wrote ‘Social Jungle’ about LA and the constant need for validation by comparing yourself to others. I want people to listen to the song, identify with the lyrics and become more human. I want them to know their worth.”  Herizen and Absofacto collaborated with producer Yves Rothmans for the new single. Inspired by her reggae musician father, Herizen has also been featured on numerous musical projects, including Absofacto’s _Thousand Peaces_ EP, _The Get Down_ soundtrack and the official soundtrack for the Major Lazer documentary, _Give Me Future_. “Social Jungle” is the first song from Herizen’s forthcoming debut EP, set for release this fall via Herizen/TMWRK Music.
