Helmut Lang has announced their latest project, _The Artist Series._ Through it, 12 visual artists will be selected by Editor-In-Residence Isabella Burley to collaborate with the brand.
_The Artists Series_ will showcase cult artworks that will be printed on T-shirts, posters, and special edition products. [Walter Pfeiffer](http://www.helmutlang.com/Journal-HL/Journal-HL,default,pg.html) is the latest artist picked for this month, bringing his photography to be featured in a collaboration.
In his images, Pfeiffer recalls the 1980s period of his career. He spent that time in Zürich, where he'd casted young Swiss models--some even from right off the street. The photographs he created focused on youth trying to find their way in the world. “I call them 'budget years’ but they were so-called ‘golden years,’ too,” Pfeiffer explains on Helmut Lang’s website.

With Lang's recent campaign shot by Ethan James Green and featuring an intergenerational cast of progressive thinkers, new faces, and creative idols, the label appears to be going for a brand reset. They're promoting more artistic visuals and bringing in innovative icons.
The Walter Pfeiffer collaboration will be released October 2017.
