Complete with 40 minutes of bluesy rock, sprinkled with his usual mystical psychedelia, Frank Zappa’s _Chunga’s Revenge_ LP is set to return to its original form of vinyl.
With its 1970 debut, Zappa introduced a new lineup for his band, The Mothers of Invention, despite its release as a solo album. Zappa stated that the vocals on this album were a preview of the story from _200 Motels_, his notable film and soundtrack released the subsequent year.
On July 20th, _Chunga’s_ will be released as a 180-gram audiophile re-pressing on black vinyl via Zappa Records/UME, after being unavailable on vinyl for over three decades. This reissue was mastered by Bernie Grundman, and pressed at Pallas in Germany. This comes as a result of the Zappa Family Trust and UMe’s restoration initiative of Zappa’s legendary catalog. A limited-edition color version is also to be released.
Pre-order is available [here](https://UMe.lnk.to/ZappaChunga).
