Flaunt Premiere | L’Impératrice

by Morgan Vickery

The Parisian nu-disco group, L’Impératrice (The Empress), is the latest synth-pop sensation. '70s space disco and downtempo '90s synth-pop exude some of many rare influences for the French sextet. Charles de Boisseguin, Hagni Gwon, Flore Benguigui, David Gaugué, Tom Daveau, and Achille Trocellier are the masterminds behind the infectious beats and vocals. While the exotic and glittery debut album, Matahari, is due April 5th, today Flaunt premieres their new single, "Some Paradise.” With funk-like disco beats and abstract synths, "Some Paradise” is a psychedelic trip sans LSD.

L’Impératrice debut album, Matahari, will release on April 5th.
