Following the successful launch of Visvim’s WMV first flagship store in Santa Fe, New Mexico back in July, the highly coveted Japanese brand is opening another brick-and-mortar location in Tribeca, New York on today (September 14). Not only is this the second Visvim store in North America, but the location will feature both of Visvim’s labels; WMV for women and Visvim for men.
Hiroki Nakamura, director of Visvim, is known for his minimalistic design aesthetic, so the layout of the Visvim New York shop will feature these elements in addition to touches of Americana inspired details. To blend Visvim’s signature style, the space will feature specialized “Jibari-Shiki” lanterns from Kyoto and a hand painted American Flag.
