After teasing an upcoming collaboration via his Instagram page for over a week, British grime star Skepta has unveiled his new collaboration with Nike. In accordance with the #SkAIR hashtag, the emcee brings an exclusive colorway to one of the brand’s most famous silhouette, the Air Max 97.
With a combination of red, black/brown, and highlighter green, Skepta’s methodical color choice creates a very distinct and eye-catching edition of one of his all-time favorite sneakers.

[In an interview with Nike](https://news.nike.com/news/skepta-nike-air-max-97) he says, “I have been wearing Air Max for so long, since I was seven playing around in the estate; I feel like I know my Air Max well.”
Skepta is not new to apparel collaborations either, considering his collaboration with lifestyle brand “No Fear” sold out online instantly and his own personal line “MAINS” is making waves in the fashion world.
According to his Instagram, the Air Max 97 is scheduled to release on September 2. In the meantime, Skepta and his Boy Better Know collective ready their massive “BBK Takeover” event this weekend at London’s O2 Arena.
