Cinderella meets Princess Diana was the concept behind Virgil Abloh’s Collection for Off-White spring/summer 2018. The show titled, “Natural Woman” featured looks that were both sleek and sophisticated, playful and delicate. Abloh explained that Princess Diana was his muse and he was inspired by her versatility. Her looks ranged from baseball caps with jeans to off-the-shoulder gowns.

Abloh captured the essence of her style in his collection with frothy tulle skirts, crisp double-breasted blazers and floral pantsuits--all paired with satin clutches. He also used soft colors like lavender, candy pink and polka-dot patterns to pay homage to the late princess. “She was a strong individual that despite her position had her own personal taste and it came out through the clothes,” Abloh explained.

Following the Cinderella theme, Abloh partnered with Jimmy Choo on a collection of “glass slipper”-inspired shoes for the show. The heels included knee-high stiletto boots wrapped in tulle and pointed-toe pumps.
