Levi's Trucker Jacket Celebrates Its 50th Birthday With a Los Angeles Bash
The iconic Levi’s 1967 Trucker jacket turned 50 with a blowout party that will most likely be bigger than, well, my own 50th birthday. Held in the denim capital, Los Angeles, at the Levi’s Haus in West Hollywood, Levi’s transformed the outdoor space into a mini festival grounds with a DJ set by Snoop Dogg, and performances by Solange Knowles and Chance the Rapper.
Along with the A-list performances, Levi’s teamed up with 50 of the industries’ top names such as Justice, Karlie Kloss, Romee Strijd, Virgil Abloh, and many more, to have each customize their own Trucker jacket. Along a wall of the one-off jackets with complimenting photos of each icon wearing their respective designs, setting the perfect backdrop to the evening along with every attendee’s Instagram.
Each guest received a Trucker jacket and was encouraged to embrace the custom spirit of the Trucker that has been so popular for many years. Embroidery, airbrushing, and patch-working stations were set up so each guest could give their jacket a personalized touch. Solange uplifted everyone’s spirits and Chance the Rapper gave the night a perfect end.
