Dov Eagle, or better known as DOV, is a queer SoundCloud musician and artist. He was born and raised in Tel Aviv to left-wing political activist parents. After serving in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) until he was 21 years-old, DOV fled to New York in hopes of a city that fit the life he wanted to lead being queer, liberal, and creative.
Now Brooklyn based, DOV will be releasing the second single of his new EP, Be Your Lover on 16th of January, 2019. The first single he released for his new EP was a track called Save, sung by fellow Israeli SoundCloud musician, TESHA. Much like his previous single, Be Your Lover is a dark, electronic track that represents layers of elegant vocals, textures and tones.
Discussing his new track, DOV says, "'Be Your Lover' is about unfulfilled love. I wrote the song about an experience I had meeting someone when I visited a different country, with whom I totally fell in love. The whole time, though, I felt like the distance, an ocean apart, would keep this love from becoming a realty ("I will never hold another, cast out to the open sea"). It's about that strong feeling of losing something you never actually had, that potential to meet someone, fall in love, then ask yourself if you should leave everything behind and take that leap to be with them."
